We strongly encourage that you refer to traditional ring sizes or take measurements at a jewelry store nearby to find your perfect fit.

Step 1 - Select a finger for your Smalth Ring.

  • For the most accurate results, wear your Smalth Ring on your index finger. The middle and ring fingers will also work.

Step 2 - Measure with a tape measure or refer to your traditional ring size.

Where can I download the Smalth Ring app?

The Smalth Ring app for iPhone will be available on the App Store for devices running iOS 11 or later. The Smalth Ring app for Android will be available on Google Play for devices running Android 6 or later.

How do I connect my Smalth Ring to my phone?

Launch your Smalth Ring application.

The app will ask you to give it permission to access your Bluetooth and localization and then launch the pairing process. You will no longer have to perform the pairing process in the future.

Please note that the ring can be paired to one device at a time but an account can be paired to several rings. Your data is stored on your personal and dedicated account and only you will have access to your data. If you have the same Smalth account on several phones, you will be able to see your data on these several phones but without being able to synchronize your ring's data on the different phones. Your ring can only sync to one phone at a time.

How do I turn on/off my Smalth Ring?

It’s so simple that you have nothing to do yourself.

There is no on/off button on the ring, it knows when you are wearing it or not and goes into standby by itself if you don't wear it.

All you have to do is pair the ring to your Smalth Ring app and the ring will start recording data.

Can I wear the Smalth Ring underwater?

Yes, the Smalth Ring is water resistant.

It's suitable for light water exposure like rain, washing your hands or showering. Do not put the ring under water for prolonged time (bath, sea, hammam).

Can I wear Smalth Ring at the gym?

It is not recommended to use the ring when carrying weight. Damage may occur to the ring.

It is recommended to wear a special outer-shell for sports as it will scratch faster.

Like regular jewelry, Smalth Ring can scratch if worn while lifting weights or gripping bars, or when scraping against metal, ceramics or stone. Apart from carrying weight, you can do sports with your ring.

Can I wear my ring during a sauna, sea or hammam?

It is not recommended to wear the ring during extreme high (superior than 60°C) and low temperature (inferior than -20°C) for more than 30 minutes.

How do I charge my Smalth Ring?

Use the included magnetic cable to charge via any USB socket, or simply place the ring in the included charging case.

Simply place the magnetic pins that are located on the flat part of your Smalth Ring onto the magnetic pins of the charger.

The pins of the charger will be in contact with those of your ring so that it can be charged.

A LED on the charger turns on to notify you of when the ring charges.

The charger turns off when your ring is fully charged.

Can Smalth Ring be synch with other external app?

It is currently not possible to synchronize Smalth Ring with other external applications, and will be added through a future app update.

Which devices is the Smalth Ring compatible with?

The Smalth Ring is compatible with most mobile devices that run iOS 11 or later, or Android 6 or later.

How does Smalth Ring measure my body metrics?

The ring first collects the body metrics it needs thanks to its biosensors (green, infrared & red optical pulse sensor and 3-axis accelerometer). The ring contains a built-in processor that will process the data and send the data by Bluetooth to the Smalth mobile app & cloud for analysis.

The Smalth analysis engine uses machine learning to better understand your habits and offer a personal experience with personalized recommendations to improve your lifestyle.

How does Smalth Ring measure my heart rate?

When your heart beats, your capillaries expand, and contract based on blood volume changes. The optical heart rate sensor (PPG) in your Smalth Ring flashes its LEDs rapidly on the arteries of your finger’s palm side to detect blood volume changes. Your device calculates the number of times your heart beats per minute (BPM), which is your heart rate.

How does Smalth Ring track my sleep?

SMALTH tracks your sleep thanks to the correlation of the data collected by the PPG sensor, and the motion sensor. The biometrics of your body evolve during your sleep and your biometrics are in very specific states at each stage of your sleep.

That’s how the ring monitors whether or not you are sleeping and in what sleep stage you are in. SMALTH tracks many other sleep factors to let you understand your sleep and improve it in the long run.

Does Smalth Ring track my heart rate during exercise?

Yes, Smalth Ring tracks heart rate during exercise and many other activities. 

How long does the Smalth Ring battery last?

Standby time is up to 30 days.

But it depends for daily use.

  • Non-continuous monitoring provides optimal battery life and will collect cardiac indicators at a lower frequency with a battery life of approximately 7 days.
  • when continuous monitoring is turned on, cardiac indicators will be collected at a higher frequency and battery life will be reduced to 2.5 days.

You can set this in the Smalth Ring App.

What if I lose my ring? Do I lose my data?

For the very first use, you will have to create an account on the app. Your SMALTH RING will be registered to this account once it is paired. A profile will be created, and all your related data will be stored on an encrypted dedicated and personal account. That way, if you lose your ring, you’ll still be able to have access to your data and continue with another one, right where you left off.

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at hello@smalth.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

Why has my order been canceled?

We typically only cancel orders if there’s a problem with stock, or if you’ve asked us to cancel. Please accept our apologies if your order is canceled because of a problem at our end. We’ll always offer an alternative product and process your refund in full, as quickly as possible.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via hello@smalth.com, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If not, we’ll despatch your order and then you can return it to us if you wish upon receiving it.

Can I alter my order?

Sadly, we’re unable to modify your order once we’ve started processing it. If you need to order a greater quantity or an additional product, please place a new order online.

When will my order arrive?

Orders that require shipping within the U.S. will be delivered within five to ten days, depending on your preferred shipping method.

Shipping to countries outside of the U.S. may take up to 14 days. Please get in touch if your order hasn’t been delivered according to the expected timescales, and we will check your order status.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following credit/debit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

We also accept payment by PayPal.

If you decide to use either of these two methods, you’ll be taken to either the PayPal website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.

Where is my refund?

We aim to process refunds within 5 business days of an item being returned to us.

Please note, however, that your bank may take several days to process the payment back into your account.

With that said, please allow up to ten working days after posting the item back to us before getting in touch about your refund. We’ll contact you by email to let you know when your refund has been processed.

Can I return or exchange an item?

You can absolutely return your item with to us, within 14 days after receiving it, as long as it’s undamaged, unused and contained in its original packaging (PACKAGE UNOPENED).

Unfortunately, we don’t offer exchanges.

How do I return an item?

Please contact our customer service team via hello@smalth.com. Providing the return is within the 14-day cancellation period and meets our return criteria(PACKAGE UNOPENED), and you will need to arrange and pay for suitable packaging when returning an item.

My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via hello@smalth.com with the details.

We’ll respond within 48 hours. If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in “as new” condition, in its original packaging (PACKAGE UNOPENED).

How long does it take to return an item?

This depends on the carrier or shipping method that you choose when returning your item. Once we receive your return, we’ll notify you by email.

We aim to process refunds within three days after receiving the item into our warehouse, but it can take several days for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund into your account, or onto your card.
